Don’t rub your eyes - the headline is not a joke or a hoax. Nokia today announced that 43 Nokia S60 3rd Edition devices – which translates to 80 million of all these devices already shipped – enable the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync corporate mobile email solution. Better known as Mail for Exchange on Nokia devices, the solution gives Nokia device users real time access to their office email, calendar, contacts, tasks and also their company directory, which makes it easy for them to search for their colleagues’ contact details.
Not only has it become extremely easy to set up if the enterprise has the Exchange Server 2007, Mail for Exchange also gives users the benefit of setting up their Out of Office message directly from their mobile phone, as well as a host of other benefits such as email flags for follow up, downloading, editing and uploading attachments, and also setting email priorities.
Some popular Nokia devices that enable Mail for Exchange – and hence access to the world’s most popular corporate email solution – include the Nokia E71, Nokia E66, Nokia N96, Nokia N95 and Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N82, Nokia 6210 Navigator and Nokia 5320 XpressMusic.
