Qisda has begun shipping 3G-enabled VE538 handsets to Motorola, which plans to launch the model in the Taiwan market in mid-September, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
The production of the VE538 was actually the first ODM handset order received by Qisda following its official spin-off from brand-product operator BenQ in September 2007, said the paper, noting that the company has landed orders for several 3G handsets from Motorola in the first half of 2008
