Google sets up technology team in Taiwan to support Android-based products

Google has set up an Android team in Taiwan aiming to offer technical support to Taiwan hardware makers developing Android-based products, including netbooks and embedded systems, according to Chien Lee-feng, president of Google Taiwan.

With handset makers including Nokia having recently expressed interest in entering the netbook market, there are more business opportunities for the Android platform, noted market sources.
