Ericsson announced the financial results of the 1 st quarter of 2009

At last press conference in Stockholm, President and CEO of Ericsson, Mr. Carl-Henrik Svanberg announced financial results based on the results of the 1 st quarter 2009

The statement said that in general, sales in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA) increased by 12%, but differences among countries in the region are substantial. • Profit after financial items (Excluding costs of restructuring) of 3.3 billion Swedish kronor (4.5 billion SEK).
• The cost of the restructuring amounted to SEK 0.7 billion (0.8 billion SEK), with the exception of PO
