China-based 3G service provider China Telecom is in talks with Research in Motion (RIM) for joint marketing of BlackBerry smartphones in the China market, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Taiwan-based flexible PCB maker Career Technology, PCB maker Unitech Printed Circuit Board and flexible copper-clad laminate (FCCL) maker Taiflex Scientific are expected to benefit from the deal as the three companies are currently the suppliers of related materials for RIM, the paper noted.
