EB started working on MID's in 2007. The result of that early work was the first generation MID reference design, the EB MIMD which was made in co-operation with Intel. Since then, EB has taken significant steps forward and has led the way in designing the next-generation MID reference device based on Intel's powerful and compelling Moorestown platform – a high performing, low power solution.

EB's new reference device is flexible and configurable for addressing various product segments. It allows customization of industrial design and the user interface as well as specification and customization of HW and SW features. EB's offering includes the licensing of a complete pre-certified MID Reference Device, product definition, development and customization of the device as well as a User Interface and applications.

Another milestone in the EB reference design is the user interface (UI) framework and applications. The UI framework forms a basis for UI differentiation for a device. EB's award winning navigation software, EB Street Director, is high-end, speech-enabled, Turn-By-Turn-navigation software.
