Motorola CLIQ: the first Android-smartphone

On the development of Motorola's smartphone based on Android operating system has been known long ago. The device was called Motorola Morrison expected this fall. And this unit was officially presented to the public. The model was named Motorola CLIQ (outside the U.S., it will be called Motorola DEXT). Besides the phone itself and the company also unveiled a new interface MOTOBLUR, which is used in the apparatus. According to representatives of Motorola, the new phone and an interface that allows you to receive information from the service Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail, e-mail, LastFM, etc., and view it on the start screen, and automatically synchronized with the contact list, withdraw mobile communications to a new level.

In technical terms, the phone is a side-slider with QWERTY-keyboard and touch screen. Motorola CLIQ supports third-generation networks (WCDMA 900/1700/2100, GSM 850/900/1800/1900, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (Category 7 / 8), EDGE Class 12, GPRS Class 12), has GPS, WiFi b / g and Bluetooth 1.5 modules. The model is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and a slot for memory cards microSD-format with up to 32 GB. The battery capacity of 1420 mAh provides operation in the standby mode for 325 hours or 6 hours of talk time. The device is not very large (58 x 114 x 15.6 mm), but rather weighty (163 g).

The first model Motorola CLIQ users will appreciate the operator T-Mobile USA, which will be able to purchase this unit this fall. Following them in the fourth quarter of 2009 under the name DEXT to get British and French operator Orange, in Spain it will be released at Telefonica, and in Latin America by America Movil.
