"Beeline" in Voronezh is upgrading its mobile network
Operator VimpelCom ("Beeline" brand) announced the continuation of technical work to upgrade the network in Voronezh region. Modernization provides for the replacement equipment and site switch - one of the main elements of the network responsible for the output (and input) on the city's telephone lines and lines of other cellular operators. The same will be upgraded node packet data, controllers, and operator service platforms. The modernization will increase the speed of data transfer technology GPRS, EDGE and 3G, will increase capacity and channel capacity. One of the first activities of the project was the relocation of telecommunications equipment to the new site. To implement the project were made additional purchases of equipment and radio equipment for packet data and voice traffic PS / CS core. The work carried out at night to minimize inconvenience to subscribers. At the moment the first stage of assembling the switch, a new platform, integrated with core functions that are responsible for the transmission of voice and packet traffic. Completion of the work planned for the end of September 2011.
