Huawei plans to release Android smartphones in 2009

Following the recent entry in the Alliance Open Handset Alliance, the company Huawei Technologies slightly a secret of its plans for the platform Android. The company intends to submit a number of Android-smartphones next year.

According to Li Jilin (Li Jilin), Vice-President of Huawei Communication, currently leads the company to develop smartphones on the platform of Android, which is to be published at the beginning of 2009, the company sure will be able to offer models that fully meet the requirements users. It is also noted that Huawei develops strategic partnerships with the majority of the members of the Open Handset Alliance, including China Mobile, Telefónica and T-Mobile.

In the next three years is expected to increase the supply of smart phones worldwide by an average of 37.7% per annum. By 2011, sales of such devices reached approximately 400 million units, while in 2007 the figure reached only 110 million. It is expected that by 2011 the proportion of smartphones on the market of mobile phones worldwide will be equal to 24.2%, and in 2012 - will grow to 30%.
