Acer will release four phones in the second half of the year

Resource DigiTimes, referring to unnamed sources, reported on the Napoleonic plans of the company Acer.Nachinaya from September until the end of the fourth quarter, the producer intends to release four models of smartphones: A1, S1/E1, F1, and L1. Produce phones for the Taiwan company Acer will Compal Communications and Inventec Appliances. Also, they may join Chinese ODM / OEM manufacturer of Arima Communications, but it will happen probably in 2010, when Acer is planning to take up Android-devices based on platforms from Qualcomm.

Phone Acer A1 will be the only model on the platform of Android, the rest are based on Windows Mobile. In this model A1 and F1 will be made at the OEM-based company Compal Communications, and L1 and C1/E1 as ODM-devices - the company Compal and Inventec, respectively.
