Taiwan flexible PCB (FPCB) maker Career Technology is expected to see third-quarter revenues grow 10-15% sequentially, thanks to increased demand from smartphone makers, according to market watchers. Career's order visibility has extended to two months.
Career has announced consolidated revenues for June 2009 grew about 30% on month to NT$820 million (US$24.79 million), beating the company's expectations.
The company expects shipments of its LED light bar, touch panel and e-book related products to expand in the second half of 2009.
The handset segment accounts for 60-70% of Career's total revenues, over 50% of which is from smartphones. LED light bars and large-size FPCBs have a 20% revenue share, according to the company.
