GREENSBORO, N.C. — Tina Stec, a major account manager for Verizon Wireless, was recently awarded the Commander’s Award for Excellence by A Co, 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne). This award is reserved for civilians who exemplify excellence in service to the United States Army. Stec, a five-year employee with Verizon Wireless who handles the US Army account in Fort Bragg, N.C., was presented the Commander’s Award for Excellence for her dedication to resolving the unit’s multiple implementation issues during the rollout of a large contract.
