E-book enTourage eDGe with LCD and E-Ink display

Company enTourage Systems has announced an electronic book titled eDGe based operating system Android. However, this device differs from other similar products on the market: it is folding and is equipped with two displays. One 9.7-inch, based on electronic paper, it can display up to 16 shades of gray. Second display - 10.1-inch LCD, it is touch and color. Content on enTourage eDGe can be copied from the SD card or USB drive, and download from the Internet through a network of Wi-Fi, EV-DO or HSDPA. Built-in memory e-reader, available to the user, is 3 GB, to store up to 3000 electronic books.

But apart from a direct reading of books, from eDGe there are many other functions. For example, the device can both record and play back video and audio, and also allows access the Internet. According enTourage, it is not just an electronic book, but a netbook, player, voice recorder and so on. eDGe can operate without charging more than 16 hours, if included only E-Ink display, and up to 6 hours with the included LCD display. The device will be offered in red, white, dark blue and light blue colors. It will be released in February 2010 for $ 490.
