KP100 - the first phone to LG, the global sales of which exceeded 30 million units

Company LG Electronics announced that sales of the phone in a classic form-factor LG KP100 (and its variants - KP105/106/107/108), by the end of August this year exceeded the figure of 30 million units. This is the first model of LG, which has reached such indicators.

Phone LG KP100 appeared in January 2008 in India and Latin America, and then went on sale in North America, Europe, Asia, CIS, Middle East and Africa. The device is available in two versions - GSM (900/1800 MHz) and CDMA - depending on the market and the mobile operator. It sold more than 20 million phones KP100 GSM and about 10 million pieces KP100 CDMA. The popularity of this model is growing, making LG increased their market share in the segment of devices baseline.

In addition to text and voice messages, the device is equipped with an alarm clock, polyphonic ring tones and speakerphone. There is a 1.5 inch CSTN-display with 65K colors and built-in FM-radio, as well as the ability to store in the memory of 300 contacts and 100 messages also affected the sale of the phone. Designs depend on consumer preferences in the regions: the three versions of the shell and 15 color solutions meet the tastes of European and users who prefer bright colors, and Asians, who prefer quiet and dark tones.
