There were 39.07 million handsets (not including gray-market) sold in the China market during the third quarter of 2009, increasing by 18.1% on quarter and 11.7% on year, according to China-based consulting company Analysys International.
The sales volumes consisted of 31.71 million GSM, 6.37 million CDMA and 983,000 3G models, Analysys indicated.
