Ichia October revenues fall short of expectation, says paper

Handset keypad and flexible PCB maker Ichia Technologies saw October revenues fall short of market expectations due to slower-than-expected keypad orders from clients in Korea, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.

Ichia's consolidated revenues for October totaled NT$611 million (US$18.8 million), down 2.6% sequentially and 40% on year, the paper quoted the company as indicating. For the first 10 months, revenues amounted to NT$6.37 billion, down 10.8% from a year earlier.

However, Ichia has no plans to adjust its fourth-quarter business outlook, reiterating that the opportunity still remains high for its Korea clients to increase their keypad orders in November and December, according to the paper.
