Bureau Veritas ADT supports MediaTek to complete WiMAX Forum OIOT & conformance test case certification

Bureau Veritas ADT, a WiMAX Forum designated certification lab (WFDCL) in Taiwan for WiMAX Forum certification testing, has announced that it has cooperated with MediaTek and supported MediaTek to acquire its first WiMAX Forum operator interoperability testing (IOT) and conformance certificate.

MediaTek claimed that it is the first WiMAX chip vendor to pass CRSL version 7.9, which for the first time includes operator IOT (OIOT) test cases, and subsequently received WiMAX Forum Wave2 certification.

MediaTek WiMAX vice president CT Chuang added that Wave2 certification has become a basic requirement for the WiMAX operators worldwide. The completion of MT7119 wave2 certification demonstrates MediaTek's commitment to the WiMAX market and we will continue to produce the most cost effective solutions enabling WiMAX CPE, dongles, and mobile devices.

In addition to being a top WFDCL, Bureau Veritas ADT was accredited in 2008 for WiMAX Forum designated validation laboratory (WFDVL) and WiMAX certification body (WCB). Thus far, Bureau Veritas ADT has completed several WiMAX Forum certification testing projects including the first official WiMAX Forum notebook certification testing, first RPT certification testing, first 3.5GHz certification, and first OIOT & conformance certification for chipset vendors worldwide.
