New miniature combined proximity sensor and sensor lighting for mobile phones from Sharp

Japanese company Sharp presented its new development for mobile phones - a combination device that includes a proximity sensor (proximity sensor) and the ambient light sensor. This micro-electronic device, from the words of the manufacturer, will occupy a smaller area and volume in comparison with the previous generation of such devices.

Getting shipment of test samples is scheduled for 25 December this year and the beginning of commercial sales - at the end of January 2010 and costs 250 Yen (~ $ 2.78).
