Motorola Supports Earthquake-Relief Efforts in Haiti

-- The Motorola Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Inc., has contributed $100,000 to the American Red Cross for immediate support of earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. The Foundation also will match Motorola employee contributions to the American Red Cross up to a total of US $25,000. The American Red Cross is providing relief supplies, including food, shelter and medical equipment, to support the millions of displaced children and families.

In addition, Motorola’s donation of Talkabout® two-way radios is helping CHF International with its on-the-ground relief efforts in Haiti. CHF International, which has been undertaking one of the largest U.S.-funded infrastructure and employment-creation programs in Haiti since 2006, is focusing on recovery efforts within the densely populated city of Port-au-Prince and surrounding damaged areas.
