External GPS module for Pentax DSLRs

Pentax Company today announced an additional GPS module for digital SLR cameras. The device is called the Pentax O-GPS1 and can record the longitude, latitude, altitude and time of the snapshot, which will automatically fit into the image information, allowing you to set the exact time and place where the photo was taken. When using a PC, this information from the GPS system can be used to organize the album and track the sequence of movements when making shots. The device is designed to interact with the applications company Pentax, inscribing geo data about the geographical and celestial position of the camera.

Also Pentax O-GPS1 can be used as an electronic compass. The module has a self-contained power source in the form of a standard sized AAA battery that provides up to 12 hours of continuous operation. The device is compatible with cameras K-5, Kr, and 645D. Placing on the market will begin in July this year, and its cost will be $ 250.
