Texas Instruments introduced a new 1.8 GHz processor applications, TI OMAP4470

The American company Texas Instruments has announced the release of a new generation of its OMAP application processors Series 4 - OMAP4470, which has a high level of energy efficiency and is designed for installation in mobile ustrostva.

Multi-core TI OMAP4470 applications can operate at speeds up to 1.8 GHz and allows you to increase productivity in comparison with existing contemporary solutions when viewing Web pages up to 80%, thanks to integrated graphics solution on the basis of POWERVR SGX544 - to increase the graphics performance in 2 , 5 times.

The main advantages of OMAP4470:

Two ARM Cortex-A9 MP cores, each of which operates at a frequency of up to 1.8 GHz: optimizing Web browsing (80%).
Two ARM Cortex-M3 core: multi-core optimization for real-time with low power consumption.
Graphic core SGX544: support DirectX, OpenGL ES 2.0, OpenVG 1.1 and OpenCL 1.1; productivity increase in 2,5 times.
Separate processor to work with 2D images: free basic graphics processor for demanding tasks.
Display subsystem supports up to three HD displays and resolutions up to QXGA (2048x1536); HDMI port and a 3D image.
Dual Channel 466 MHz LPDDR2 memory.
Programme and contact compatibility with existing solutions (OMAP4430 and OMAP4460).
Start processor shipments OMAP4470, made on 45-nm process technology, identifies the manufacturer for the second half of 2011, and the devices themselves, which they will use, we promise to wait for early next year.
