The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" announced usage statistics for users of communications services for smartphones running the popular mobile operating systems.
As stated by the operator at the end of the third quarter of 2011 in its network had more than 2 million smart phones. And, devices based on Symbian platform in the market continues to prevail, the highest growth dynamics show smartphones running OS Android, which number from the beginning of this year increased by more than 6,000%, significantly ahead of devices with iOS (+100%) and bada ( 110) on board.
The number of smartphones in the MTS at the end of September 2011 (top5 most popular operating systems):
Symbian - 1.37 million units.
Android - 130 000 pcs.
iOS - 115 000 pcs.
bada - 90 000 pcs.
Windows Mobile - 80 000 pcs.
