Today, just in time for the holidays, we’re releasing OneNote 1.3 for iOS. Since the launch of OneNote for iPhone nearly a year ago, a recurring request from our customers has been for a version that can be used more easily on the iPad's larger screen. We're happy to announce that today's new release of OneNote for iOS devices includes a version that's tailored for the iPad.
OneNote is now available in full resolution on the iPad.
Whether you need to track and share shopping lists, gift-giving plans, recipe clippings and collections, or event and travel planning, you'll never forget or miss a thing with OneNote by your side.
What’s new in this version
OneNote for iOS builds on previous releases with the following new features in version 1.3:

By storing your OneNote notebooks on a free Microsoft SkyDrive account, your notes are no longer trapped on your computer's hard drive. Your own cloud-based SkyDrive account lets you easily sync all of your notebooks across all of your devices, so they're always up-to-date and accessible from virtually anywhere — on your iPhone, your iPad, your Web browser, or your computer.
For example, you can plan your meals on your laptop and then check your grocery lists on your iPhone when you're in the store. You can go through your to-do lists while sitting on the couch with your iPad, and then plan the work day when you're back at the computer on your desk. No matter where or when you use OneNote, it helps you keep your life together — all in one place.
And if you give your friends or family access to your shared notebooks, everyone in your life can contribute to the information you capture, collect, track, keep, share, and care about.
System requirements
OneNote 1.3 works on the following iOS devices:
Apple iPhone 3GS
Apple iPhone 4

Apple iPad 2
Note: Your device must be running Apple iOS 4.3 or later. A free Windows Live account is required for notebook storage in the cloud via Microsoft SkyDrive. You can use any existing Windows Live account to sign in, or you can sign up for free with just a few easy steps when you first start OneNote on your iPhone or iPad.
Free vs. unlimited use
OneNote 1.3 is free to download and use for up to 500 notes (the total of newly or previously created notes). To track your usage, tap the Settings button in the app and then tap the Upgrade button.
When you've reached the limit, you can upgrade OneNote 1.3 as follows:
$4.99 for unlimited use on your iPhone
$14.99 for unlimited use on your iPad

If you choose not to upgrade to the unlimited version, you can still view, sync, and delete any of your existing notes even after you've reached the 500 notes limit. However, you will no longer be able to edit your notes or create new ones on your iPhone or iPad.

Starting today, we are making OneNote for iOS available worldwide in the following markets:

To find and download the appropriate version of OneNote 1.3 for your device and country, either search for "Microsoft OneNote" in the iTunes App Store that's installed on your iPhone or iPad, or download iTunes to your computer by visiting http://www.itunes.com.
