NVIDIA Tegra 3 - based infotainment and digital dashboards Audi


NVIDIA Corporation today announced that Audi has chosen the NVIDIA Tegra mobile processor 3 for their information and entertainment systems and new digital instrument panels, which will replace traditional panels throughout the manufacturer's model range, from around the world since 2013.

As noted in the companies, the integration of such systems in the car and its user-friendly interface with realistic graphics will make the process of driving safer and easier, thanks to the timely appearance of an important and understandable at a glance information.

The basis of infotainment systems and instrument panels will serve visual computing modules (Visual Computing Module) processor-based Tegra 3. They are computer subsystem processor Tegra, Memory and IO-controller, specifically designed for cars. With VCM, Audi can easily and quickly introduce new technologies of visual computing in their cars to give them advanced visual features.
