Kodak will stop the production of picture frames, camcorders and cameras
Eastman Kodak Company certainly has left the most vivid and significant mark in the history of photography. Among other achievements of the company hence the creation of a digital camera. However, the history of their production under the brand name Kodak came to an end. According to the news agency Reuters, the company plans to cut 400 jobs and completely close the direction of digital cameras. In addition to the actual camera, which Kodak launches at the moment is not too much, this will affect the elimination of all compact cameras and electronic photo frames. At this step the company went bankrupt, forced to cut all possible costs. It is worth noting that the last few years for Eastman Kodak Company have been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, back in 2006, this manufacturer was the third largest producer of digital cameras in the world, second only to Canon and Sony. But in 2010 it was already only seventh place and instead of 10% market share, Kodak was among the "other producers". With the cessation of production of cameras and camcorders, the main business of the company will manufacture desktop photo printers. The main reason for the fall of Kodak called the wrong assessment of the direction of the market: the company has focused on compact camcorders, and who lost the built-in photo-phone modules.
