Telekom Austria Group chooses Ericsson for managed services


Five-year contract to manage field operations for Mobiltel Bulgaria & Si.mobil Slovenia
Contract extends Ericsson Managed Services footprint in Europe
Telekom Austria Group, a leading provider of mobile communication services in Central and Eastern Europe, has selected Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) as exclusive partner to manage the field operations of mobile access and transmission networks, including facilities and infrastructure of Base Station and Core Network Sites, in Bulgaria & Slovenia.

As part of the five year agreement, about 70 employees working in Mobiltel Bulgaria and Si.mobil Slovenia will join Ericsson as of April 2012.

Ericsson will take responsibility for the operations, ensuring that the networks are run with the highest quality and securing a smooth transition for the staff into Ericsson. Currently, Ericsson employs 56,000 services professionals.
