Esri and Microsoft create an alliance to help during natural disasters


The company Esri announced that the International User Conference 2012 Esri has signed an agreement with Microsoft to create an alliance designed to assist government agencies and business organizations throughout the world during disasters.

As noted by the agreement, cooperation between the companies will greatly accelerate the necessary information to users, response services, as well as other agencies involved in work on disaster management.

Publicly available information will be posted on Microsoft's maps are stored "in the cloud," the portal to respond to incidents (Microsoft Disaster Response Incident Portal), and information about people and their whereabouts during a disaster will quickly appear in the MSN services and Bing.
