MegaFon will provide free in-train "Grand Express"
Company "MegaFon" and "Grand Service Express" signed an agreement on the provision of passenger trains "Grand Express" Internet access services on technology Wi-Fi. Train "Grand Express" run regularly on the most popular in Russia towards Moscow - St. Petersburg - Moscow and carry over 13 million passengers per month. Now all passengers luxury night trains will be able to take advantage of the free services and Internet access technology Wi-Fi. The project is based on the 3G-network MegaFon. Complete covering of the mobile network in the area of Saint-Petersburg - Moscow, involving passenger trains provide about 250 base stations MegaFon. Operator develops services of Internet access and other railway lines: at the end of last year, he signed a memorandum of cooperation with Russian Railways, under which the companies agreed on joint development of voice in the standard 3G, wireless Internet access for train passengers all over the web railways, as well as access to the Internet on a Wi-Fi for trains "Peregrine."
