Academy has a program to replace outdated modems

CJSC «Academy of capital» announced the launching of a program to replace outdated models of cable modems. From November 2008 to February 2009 AKADO subscribers in the Central Administrative District and area Chertanovo southern administrative district will be asked to replace the outdated cable modem to support DOCSIS standard for a modern model of the standard EuroDOCSIS. The program to replace obsolete models of cable modems will affect more than 14 thousand customers AKADO, and the cost of upgrading networks to be around 2 million rubles.

Thanks to replace obsolete equipment will be increased network capacity, as well as increased stability and reliability of services. The new modems will support all the newest Internet access services and cable television.

Specialists «Academy of capital» replace modems and those subscribers who lease the equipment, and those who acquired it in the property. The new modems will be provided to subscribers in rent on existing conditions at the moment. If the subscriber owns outdated modem, it will be offered preferential terms of the lease of new devices.

The program of replacing obsolete equipment out of service output following the model of modems: Motorola SB5100i, E-TECH200, 3COM 29221, 3COM 29220, US Robotics USR 600. They were replaced by new models: Motorola SB5101E, SciAtl Webstar EPC2100r2.
