HTC Unveils First Traditional Chinese-language

Hong Kong — HTC Corporation (TAIEX: 2498, “HTC”), a global leader in mobile phone innovation and design, unveiled the world’s first traditional Chinese-language Android-powered mobile phone, the HTC Magic, in Hong Kong. HTC is pleased to announce that SmarTone–Vodafone is the first Hong Kong mobile operator partner of the HTC Magic™ and SiS International Limited is the Hong Kong distributor of the new phone.

Providing broad flexibility for personalization
The HTC Magic™ has a 3.2” HVGA touch screen display and features a trackball for easy access, a 3.2 mega-pixel camera and GPS. It also provides access to Android Market™, where users can find and download unique applications to expand and personalize their phone to fit their lifestyle.

HTC Magic™ features a trackball with zoom in/out function for easy navigation and internet browsing. It also provides popular Google™ applications such as Google Search™ and Google Maps™ as well as favourites like YouTube™.

Multiple email options
The HTC Magic™ offers a variety of email options such as Gmail™, POP3 and IMAP, Microsoft Exchange Server as well as Google Talk™ for instant messaging. It helps users to separate their personal and work emails for efficient communication.

Android Market
HTC Magic™ supports HSUPA connectivity of up to 2.0Mbps and HSDPA connectivity of up to 7.2Mbps. From Android Market, users can search and download unique applications such as calendar, Skype, and mobile phone games to expand and personalize their phone to fit their lifestyle.

Availability
The HTC Magic™ is scheduled to be available in Hong Kong from June 2009.
