Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) is expected to announce at the end of this month its purchase plans for over 460,000 units of VDSL2 equipment through open bidding, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Four business groups – the Zyxel-HwaCom team, D-Link, Accton Technology and Alcatel-Lucent – are expected to participate in the bidding in order to win the contract, which is expected to top NT$1.1 billion (US$33.3 million), the paper said.
