Automotive Internet

Following the Cadillac and the Chrysler Group will produce Volkswagen cars equipped with Wi-Fi-module. The first model, which will be installed system Uconnect, will be produced in the U.S. minivan Routan. Technical details of the project is not disclosed, but, apparently, the system will be similar to the proposed car Chrysler. Mobile Modem, which supports 3G EVDO-connect, allows us to keep the speed from 400 to 800 Kb / s at the inlet and about 400 Kb / s for a transfer. Coverage Wi-Fi is not confined to the car - on the application of the manufacturer relationship is maintained at up to 40 m.

In the United States Uconnect device will be available as an option when buying a VW Routan at the end of this month.
