IC distributor Alltek to enjoy revenue growth on China demand

Alltek Technology expects to enjoy revenue growth through August, thanks to increased demand for 3G base stations in China, according to market watchers. The IC distributor has entered the supply chains of local 3G service providers.

Alltek expects to post a 30% revenue growth in July with improved orders for wireless applications, including cable, DSL and digital TV (DTV) ICs, and Bluetooth chipsets used in notebooks and PC peripherals, the watchers said.

The company's second-half revenues are expected to increase 50% from the first, resulting in a total of NT$6.5 billion (US$198.05 million) for 2009, up 5% from 2008, the market watchers estimated.

Alltek's revenues totaled NT$2.62 billion in the first half, down 9.8% on year, with a net profit of NT$76.1 million and EPS of NT$1.24.
