Good for Enterprise Now Available for Android Devices

Good provides only solution for secure and managed enterprise access on Android devices.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif, -- Good Technology(TM) announced that Good for Enterprise(TM) is now available for multiple Android(TM) devices, including DROID by Motorola, DROID ERIS by HTC, HTC Hero, HTC My Touch 3G, Samsung Moment and others. This latest release allows users to connect and collaborate on the Android devices of their choice, while providing IT departments with the enterprise management and control they need, without compromising any security policies.

Enterprise users want the ability to choose and use Android, iPhone®, and other hot devices for both personal and business purposes. This demand for device choice in the enterprise is a growing trend among organizations. An independent survey of 300 IT departments in the United States and United Kingdom, recently commissioned by Good Technology, found that nearly 80 percent of IT directors see increased demand from employees to use their own mobile devices. More than half of the respondents in the United States said they would let employees use their own devices if they were assured of security and control over access to enterprise data.

"There is no denying that Android devices are some of the hottest devices on the market right now," said John Herrema, chief marketing officer at Good Technology. "Over the next year, we expect to see even more demand for secure access to enterprise data and applications from a wide variety of Android devices, including smartphones and netbooks. Only Good for Enterprise provides a seamless and secure for employees to access enterprise applications and data on the devices they want, without having to compromise IT security policies or control."

Good for Enterprise requires a single, behind-the-firewall server and provides IT departments with simplified over-the-air management and control of their entire mobile fleets, from a single Web-based interface. Good for Enterprise supports multiple Exchange and Domino versions, including Exchange 2003 and 2007 and IBM Lotus Domino R7 and R8.

The Good for Enterprise user experience on Android devices is customized to be as intuitive and familiar as the desktop, minimizing IT intervention and reducing support costs. The offering prioritizes tasks most important to the business user, such as composing email and scheduling appointments, making them easily and seamlessly accessible. Good provides secure email, calendar and contacts through a single application, so users can easily multi-task just as they would on a desktop. Enterprise data is encrypted and isolated from personal data, which makes it easy for IT departments to secure and control access to corporate resources without compromising corporate policies. This includes the ability to wipe enterprise data remotely without impacting the user's personal data or applications.

Use of the Good for Enterprise Android application requires a Good for Enterprise server and Client Access License (CAL). End users should contact their IT administrators for a username and password.
