U.S. Cellular 3-D Summer at the Loop Begins May 28.
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Warm summer nights at the West Loop Shopping Center will take on a new dimension this year with the return of a family-friendly series of movies sponsored by U.S. Cellular. For the third year of the program, U.S. Cellular is bringing in three movies. Each will be shown in 3-D. Over the years, hundreds have enjoyed the free outdoor movie series. That success led U.S. Cellular to bring the event back in 2010, said Dorsey Ragland, Director of Sales for U.S. Cellular in Kansas.
Movies start at dusk and various pre-show activities begin at 7:30 on the evenings of May 28, June 18, and July 30. The free movies are open to all ages and families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, along with food and drink (alcohol is not permitted) and enjoy a fun summer evening at the movies.
Below is this summer's 3-D movie lineup:
* Friday, May 28: "Journey to the Center of the Earth"
* Friday, June 18: "Coraline"
* Friday, July 30: "Fly Me to the Moon"
"It is important to us as a company to support events that build relationships and bring friends and family together," Ragland said. "We're looking forward to spending summer evenings together in Manhattan outdoors at the West Loop shopping center, gathered in front of the big screen."
