ZTE targeting the Chinese and American smartphone market
The company ZTE, following last year came out in fourth place in the world in smart phones is seen as a priority of American and Chinese markets. In these markets are becoming the most popular smartphones, and these countries provide growing smartphone market. Since the company ZTE reorients with relatively cheap simple phones to smartphones, which bring big profits, then the revaluation of its production, propagation direction is its logical next step. Since 1985, the company offered to the market telecommunications equipment, but until recently the brand has been known only in emerging markets. With the release of models Skate Blade and the company intends to proceed to change the situation. In an interview with news agency Reuters, Elve Tsyanhao (Lv Qianhao), responsible for strategy development in the phone company ZTE, said that the situation in which a company synonymous with quality , but inexpensive, mass merchandise, will be shifted toward the production of high quality and expensive models. During 2011 the company doubled the supply of smartphones, but we need to broaden the scope of price positioning of models, since the market low cost devices is growing pressure from manufacturers Nokia, Huawei and Samsung. Output at a higher price range was quite successful - model ZTE Blade in 2011, sold in the amount of 8 million copies, and the total number set by the market mobile phones was 80 million. The agency Gartner estimated the company as a fifth world producer with a 3.2% market share, although the third quarter of IDC, ABI Research and Strategy Analytics put her in fourth place, behind Nokia, Samsung and LG.
