The Intel Smartphone Benchmark

Here between coffee, sandwiches and Red Bull's where I was able to try again at CeBIT a look at the Android Smartphone with Intel Technology. I blogged about it already and do not hide the fact that I find it good that there are many manufacturers that use different techniques. If ARM, AMD or Intel - Competition is good business and good for the consumer.

Although I do not think much of benchmarks, I have had times the browser market and the benchmark Vellamo slide over the device, which is sold by Orange in France in this reference design. In the browser market, the device will fail with the Intel iPhone 4S , Vellamo speaks of an outcome which is higher than that of the Galaxy Nexus.

But please give because nothing on it, benchmarks do not really say a lot. Interestingly, it is only when the technology that is under the hood, is taken up by other manufacturers, and is packaged in beautiful designs - for the current reference design, although by and large acceptable, but still in need of improvement.

Hardware? Android 2.3.7 (Ice Cream Sandwich will be released for the device), Intel Atom SoC Z2460 (1.4 GHz), 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
