Xperia Studio recreate Reckless Racing 2, in real life.

We’ve talked about Xperia Studio before in this blog, and every time, I am completely blown away by the great and cool things they are doing with  our Xperia Smartphones and very unique and creative people.
For their most recent challenge, Xperia Studio joined forces with Android game developers Pixelbite/Polarbit and car-engineer Dr. James Brighton to recreate Pixelbite’s popular Reckless Racing 2, in real life – using two life sized cars controlled entirely remotely by Xperia phones
To achieve this, Dr. James Brighton overrode the electronic system of the MGF cars so that they could be controlled by the physical buttons on the Xperia PLAY and the touchscreen on the Xperia S. Then, Martin Noriander, creator of Reckless Racing 2 faced off against Hunter Skipworth, expert gamer and journalist for  Pocket-Lint,  on a track, built from scratch on an abandoned Cold War airbase. The result was mobile-controlled dirt-racing on a scale never before seen!
Visit Xperia Studio for more information on this, and all their other experiments.
