HTC lowered its forecast for the second quarter

The Taiwanese company HTC, which currently is one of the largest manufacturers of smartphones, which gets a profit from their production, reduced the forecast for revenue and earnings in the second quarter of this year. Thus we can say that a series of financial problems for it continues, despite the successful launch of the line HTC One. In the first quarter the company reported 70% decrease in revenue and 35% of revenues, compared to the same period in 2011. It seems that the second quarter will be slightly better, at least to return to profit growth will not succeed. Expected profit decrease by 13.3%, with a projected level of 3.03 billion dollars. reason for this decline was forecast a number of factors. Sales of smartphones in Europe were lower than expected, superimposed on that issue in the U.S. market, where Apple lawsuits have delayed deliveries. Also in the second quarter inventory write-off of HTC spent the last year, which also affected the growth of profits. Consolidated sales in May and declined by 26% compared to 2011 year. However, the comforting news can serve as positive dynamics in the long run.
