Huawei receives Green Technology Award at the CommunicAsia 2012


Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, received the Green Technology Award at the CommunicAsia 2012 in Singapore , recognizing its successful Green Integration Outdoor Power System .To date, more than 110,000 units Huawei Green Integration Outdoor Power System has been deployed for the broadband networks around the world.

"Huawei emerged as the winner in the highly competitive Green Technology Award Category thanks to its Mini-shelter mobile site solution, designed to reduce the footprint and power consumption of base station sites. An impressive array of emerging market operator customers in Asia tipped the scales in Huawei' s favor", said one of the judges, "The idea is innovative and the solution can be replicated in multiple markets."

As more and more services are provided based on 2G/3G/LTE, operators are facing a lot of challenges, such as limited space, multi-system, high power load, time to market, operation expenditure, etc. Huawei Green Integration Outdoor Power System addressed those challenges well based on a deep understanding of telecom sites.
