Huawei Global Service Center Enables Customers to Improve Network Performance

Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, held an open day at its Global Services Center (GSC) in Bucharest, Romania on June 6th as an opportunity to share information and best practices with partners and customers, including from Romtelecom Romania, Cosmote Romania, Vodafone (Netherlands, Romania), Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom Group, Hutchison 3G Austria and Magyar Telekom Hungary.

"Huawei’s Global Services Center aims to deliver a more accessible maintenance threshold and enhanced quality of service to all Huawei clients in Europe," said Leroy G. Blimegger Jr., Vice President of Global Technical Service, Huawei. "Through forums such as open days, we seek to extend customers'understanding of the interactive experiences and accelerated business access offered by Huawei’s Global Services Center."

The Global Services Center offers a wide range of professional services and capabilities –including network operations, network performance management, spare parts management, benchmark and service quality management, as well as a comprehensive set of technical support and help desk services – that will enable customers to meet their current and future needs by improving network quality substantially, effectively leveraging network investment, and reducing operation costs. The Global Services Center focuses on serving European customers as well as those around the world.

"Certified by ISO/IEC and TM Forum, the Global Services Center’s information security management and operation processes are highly recognized by the international ICT sector. In addition, its wide range of customer services, including the sophisticated and innovative operations and analysis tools, as well as its engineering and operational expertise, together with the advantage of economies of scale, will also enable Huawei to provide best-in-class network operations and support to its customers in one single environment," added Mr. Blimegger.

As one of the global infrastructure platforms to support its fast-growing Professional Services business, particularly Managed Services, the Global Services Center, which has more than 200 employees, was established in Romania due to its geographical advantages, advanced logistic capabilities, and high-quality technical human resources. To date, more than six million Euros in 2012 has been invested in the Global Services Center. Huawei has over 26,000 employees in its Professional Services business, with its Managed Services managing networks in over 60 countries, serving nearly one quarter of a billion subscribers.
