Handwritten Google search for smart phones and tablets

Google has launched an exciting new opportunity for smart phones and tablets - handwriting. Thanks to him, the user can write the query directly with your finger, not only in the search box, but on the whole display device. This is especially useful in the "marching" conditions: on the move, riding in the car and the like. In addition, the keyboard will not cover half of the touch screen and not have to search for the desired letter or symbol on the small screen.

Start using the new function is easy: you have to go to Google.ru in the mobile browser, select "Settings" and click "activate handwriting." Change your search settings on the scanner by clicking on the gear icon. Once activated, select the "ink" in the lower right corner - you can now enter their requests at any point on the screen. Just write a few letters, and a search box will auto-complete options. If one of them is suitable, simply select it, and the search results appear. In the case of a long search query, you need to start writing and click on the arrow next to the auto-complete. The selected option will appear in the search bar and enter a query can be continued. In addition, you can still start using the keyboard at any time by simply clicking on the search string.

Handwriting, according to Google, still an experimental feature - it can work better or worse depending on the browser, for example, the Android-devices, it works best in Chrome. At this point ink is available in 27 languages (including Russian) devices based on iOS 5, on smartphones running Android 2.3 + and tablets based on Android 4.0 +.
