Samsung introduced a new line of solid state drives
South Korea's Samsung Electronics has announced a new line of high-solid-state drives (SSD), designed for use on personal computers.
The new 840 series supports SATA interface with data transfer rates up to 6 Gb / s, and will be presented in regular and extended versions (Pro version) - for advanced users, providing 100 thousand IOPS (input / output operations per second) for the casual reading of the information and 90 thousand IOPS - for random writes.
Home of world sales 840 Series SSD drives from Samsung are scheduled for mid-October 2012.
