HTC (High Tech Computer) will launch two Windows Mobile 6.5-based smartphones, the HTC HD2 (Leo) and HTC Whitestone, in October marking the introduction of the new mobile platform on October 6, according to market sources.
The HD2 is powered by Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon CPU and equipped with a 4.3-inch capacitive multi-touch panel and an 8-megapixel camera, which is likely to be purchased by carriers including Telefonica/O2 and Orange, the sources indicated.
The Whitestone or HTC Imagio XV6975, which will come with a 3.6-inch WVGA touch display, a 528MHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera, will be initially marketed by Verizon Wireless, the sources said.
