A dedicated Walkman™ hardware button provides instant access to the music player and consumers can also like, share and discover content through a deep Facebook™ integration. The infinite button lets the consumer explore even more and the *Qriocity service from Sony provides music and video content for the consumer to enjoy.



With attractive curved design, a glossy finish and a mineral glass display, the phone has a 3.2” screen and a powerful 1Ghz processor. A front facing camera is enabled for Skype video calling, while a 5MP AF camera can capture 720p HD video recording. *Sony’s xLOUD™ enhances audio output, while the latest Android platform for smartphones (Gingerbread 2.3) provides access to over 250,000 applications on the Android Market™.

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman: a smartphone for the budget conscious music lovers

Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new smartphone Live with Walkman (WT19i). This inexpensive music solution based on Android, equipped with a 3.2-inch touch screen. The device has a secondary set of features and, basically, "locked up" by playing music. Thus, it has two stereo speakers and audio technology support xLOUD, Face Detection tracks TrackID, media player, Walkman, radio and so on. Also worth noting is integration with Facebook sections such as photos, music player, phone book and calendar. Introducing the Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman™ phone and Sony Ericsson txt pro

As you might have seen from the earlier post here on the blog or on our global Facebook page we have been running a competition with our Facebook fans to be the first to review one of two new phones before they were even fully announced.

From all the applicants in that competition (and I tell you there were many!) we chose a few that was sent phones to create video reviews of them.

That work is now done and four out of these reviews will be published on our global Facebook page where the one that gets the most likes from the fans will win the competition and besides the enormous glory also get 10 phones for themselves and their friends and family.

It’s now also time to fully introduce these two new feature phones:

The Sony Ericsson Mix WalkmanTM phone

The Sony Ericsson Mix WalkmanTM phone is a music touch phone that truly focuses on entertainment. It includes a feature called ZappinTM that lets you browse through your songs in a fun way by automatically being served the chorus of the songs while skipping through them. It also has a cool karaoke mode that lowers the vocal track of any song while you play it. The look of the phone can also be personalized with exchangeable color bands that run along the edge of the phone making it possible to give your phone different looks for different occasions.

Sony Ericsson txt pro

The Sony Ericsson txt pro is a phone with focus on social communication. It has a slide out qwerty keyboard for quick messaging and the integrated friends application enables you to add your five best friends for easy access to their feeds from Facebook and Twitter.

Both of these new phones support Wi-Fi and have a four corner touch based user interface inspired from the XperiaTM mini range.

Both of them will be available in selected markets from Q3.

Sony Ericsson Walkman W15: new music smartphone

The company Sony Ericsson, judging by the rumors that have emerged in the network, soon will launch a new Walkman. True, it is not a player, but the smartphone operating system Android. Arima Communications to ship Yendo to Sony Ericsson in September

Taiwan-based handset maker Arima Communications will begin to ship Sony Ericsson's Yendo Walkman phone in September 2010, following shipments of the Spiro smartphones in June, according to industry sources.

Shipments for the two models are expected to total 8-9 million units in 2010.

The Yendo is a touchscreen feature phone with 2-megapixel camera, FM radio and supports dual-band GSM/EDGE standards.

Sony Ericsson has launched a ‘suite’ of handsets as it looks to enhance its entertainment offering.

The Xperia X8, Yendo with Walkman and GreenHeart handset Sony Ericsson Cedar will launch in quarter 4.

Meanwhile, the Xperia X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro will receive software upgrades to run on Android 2.1 from Q3 onwards.

The X10 upgrade will add HD video recording in Q3 and by Q4 it will be enabled to wirelessly connect to and display content on a television.
